In the first of new series of “Cider with…” collaborations, masters of improvisation The Ciderhouse Rebellion (accordionist Murray Grainger and fiddle player Adam Summerhayes) are joined by stellar Irish singer Molly Donnery (from The Haar) as they cast their evocative magic over songs from the tradition, from the misty beauties of Mo Bhuachaillín Donn to the joyous race of Murphy’s Running Dog.

Cider With Molly is intimate stuff, drawing listeners into the very heart of the music. Each performance is uniquely magical in its improvisatory focus.

“A voice that encourages ever more attentive listening as you strive to catch every nuance of her impeccable delivery.” (FRUK of Molly Donnery)

“I became utterly bewitched by the beauty of what Summerhayes and Grainger had created. It could justifiably be described as a folk symphony, possessing cyclical completeness yet creating a form that is, at once, both elemental and pastoral.” (Fatea Magazine).

“Grainger’s accordion with Summerhayes’s fiddle is especially beautiful.” (Songlines).

“Two virtuoso musicians playing some of the most startling and original music you will ever encounter. Compelling, exciting and utterly original.” (Phil Beer, Show Of Hands).

“Conjuring magic that had long been hidden in plain sight, responding melodically in a mesmerising impromptu arc of artistry.” Irish Music Magazine
